Owners of a Fuji mirrorless camera can smile this morning knowing that an ultrawide zoom is coming to the X series of lenses early next year. The new glass is a 10-24mm f/4 OIS lens, and it will arrive in March 2014 for $1000.
That will make it one of the most expensive X series lenses available, but ultrawide zooms tend to be on the pricier side for most systems. The fact that this one features optical stabilization will make it extra handy, even though stabilization is generally more useful on lenses of longer focal lengths.
Fujifilm has had an ultrawide prime in their lineup—the 14mm f/2.8. But this new guy will let you see even more of that breathtaking landscape or small room with a full-frame equivalent focal length of 15-35mm. [Fujifilm via DPreview]
